Carl Hugo Erbslöh founds a wholesale company for chemicals and minerals in Düsseldorf.

1892

He acquires the Rothenberg and Becht fields in Geisenheim, which are located on clay and kaolin according to mining law -> Almost pure, white kaolin was produced here, which became known as “Geisenheimer Porzellanton”.

1940

Bentonite was introduced for protein fining and beverage stabilisation and became known as “Geisenheimer Erde zur Weinschönung” (Geisenheim soil for wine fining)

1964

Under Gerd Erbslöh, the beverage technology department was founded in the company

1966

The invention of bentonite activation, a chemical refinement process, becomes one of the company’s most important milestones

2003

ERBSLÖH France becomes part of the ERBSLÖH Group

2005

ERBSLÖH España is founded
